Master muffler bandage seals and repairs noisy leaks and holes by just wrapping around. After cleaning the surface of the muffler or tail pipe to be repaired with sandpaper or steel wool. Remove sanding dust from surface and make sure the component that is to be repaired is slightly warm before applying bandage. Make sure to use gloves to protect hands from hot exhaust components. Cover the damaged area in muffler or tail pipe with piece of metal (tin can, etc.) and peel off blue liner from BOTH sides of bandage and discard. Wrap the bandage tightly around the damaged area and overlap the windings at least 1/2". For large repairs, you may need more than one bandage. Use wire fastener to hold the bandage in place. Now run the engine or drive the vehicle for 10 minutes or more. The intense heat will permanently bond the bandage into one solid unit. if applied correctly, this quick and easy repair should outlast your exhaust pipe, muffler or tail pipe.
